Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Green Labs LLC ("we", "us") for the Hexed iOS app and the hexedapp.com website. Sealing the contract in the app, or using Hexed at all, is acceptance. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and is part of this agreement.

Hexed is entertainment

Every spell, hex, blessing, ward, binding, reading, thread, and omen in Hexed is fictional entertainment content. Nothing in Hexed has any real-world effect, and we make no claims otherwise. Nothing in the app is advice of any kind: not medical, legal, financial, or spiritual. Don’t blame us if it works.

Eligibility

You must be 17 or older to use Hexed. By sealing the contract you confirm your birthdate is truthful. An account found to belong to someone younger is unmade.

Your account

Accounts are created with a verified phone number; one account per witch. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping control of your phone number and device. You may attach a recovery email; keeping it current is on you. You may delete your account at any time (Chart → Unmake your witch, or by emailing us); deletion is immediate and irreversible, and nothing you owned in the app survives it.

Conduct

Hexed accepts no free-written text anywhere, by design: every spell is pre-written or generated inside locked templates, and hexes can involve only registered witches connected to you in the app, in a register limited to the karmic, the petty, and the comic. The hexed are never named or notified outside the app. You may block any witch at any time; blocked witches cannot target you with anything, in either direction. Report content or witches from within the app.

You agree not to misuse Hexed: no attempting to direct workings at people outside its mechanics, no harassment through repeated targeting, no impersonating another person, no probing, scraping, disrupting, or reverse engineering the service, no automation or resale, and no use that breaks the law. We may suspend or unmake an account that violates these terms or endangers other witches, with no refund beyond what the law requires.

Purchases and virtual goods

• All payment runs through your Apple account. Prices are shown before every purchase; refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies and applicable law.
• Second Sight is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews at the listed price until cancelled in your Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before the period ends; deleting the app does not cancel it.
• Consumable items (unseals, unmaskings, cloaks, wicks, hastenings) are consumed on use.
• Everything bought or earned in Hexed – subscriptions, consumables, potency, and the rest – is a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to a fiction, not property. Virtual items have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed, gifted, or exchanged outside the app, and end when your account does.
• Some things in Hexed expire by design: an unrevealed letter turns to ash after three nights. Expiry by the rules of the fiction is part of the product, not a defect or a lost purchase.

Our content, your license

Hexed and everything in it – the spells, readings, names, art, sounds, and software – is owned by or licensed to Green Labs LLC. We grant you a personal, non-commercial, revocable, non-transferable license to use it inside the app. The cards and images the app itself renders for sharing may be shared anywhere. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.

Apple

Hexed is distributed through the App Store. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for it, for these terms, or for any claim relating to them. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

The service will change

Hexed is a living fiction: features, spells, prices, and mechanics may be added, changed, or retired. We may discontinue the service with reasonable notice, at which point all licenses end. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Disclaimers and limits

Hexed is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill. To the same fullest extent, our total liability for all claims together is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars. Some places do not allow some of these limits; where that is true, they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing here strips you of rights the law says you keep.

The binding details

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement; we may assign it to a successor of the service. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about Hexed, and the sections that by their nature should survive your account (licenses, disclaimers, limits) survive it.

Changes

When these terms change, the date above changes with it, and material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continued use after that is acceptance.
